Sitting high above Arinsal in a quiet spot, the Hotel Patagonia puts you just steps from the express chairlift – step outside, hop on and you’re swept straight up to the slopes. And if you’re heading into the village instead, it’s a simple 10 minutes’ walk downhill or a quick hop on the ski bus from right outside the door.
Inside, the Patagonia keeps things calm and cosy with warm wood, sandy tones and plenty of natural light. The rooms are impressively spacious – making them ideal for families or anyone who likes a little extra breathing room after a day on the slopes.
The shared spaces are all about easy relaxation. Settle into oversized leather chairs by the fire with a drink, compare ski‑day highlights at the bar or claim a quieter nook for reading and recharging. If you’re keen to keep the momentum going, there’s a fitness room, plus a compact wellness area with a steam room and a cold-bucket shower that doubles as a refreshing bit of cold-water therapy for the brave. Families are well‑catered for too, with a dedicated playroom full of games and organised activities for little ones.
Arinsal’s the main resort in the Pal Arinsal ski area. The high-altitude nursery slopes mean beginners should get good snow conditions and mountain views from day one. And with lots of gentle greens and blues nearby, as well as one of the best English-speaking ski schools in Europe, you’ll be confidently cruising in no time. For more of a challenge, you can catch the cable car over to the Pal side of the mountain for longer runs and steeper reds.
